The Township maintains six (6) parks and five (5) public accesses totaling nearly 600 acres of property, one (1) boat launch and more than 38 miles of non-motorized pathway. Organized recreational programs utilizing facilities within the parks system are provided by the Northwest Ottawa Recreation Authority.
Hofma Park has 120 acres with 1 shelter, a restroom, a soccer field, 78 space parking area, a softball field and a developed playground.

Hofma Preserve has 2 main entrances. At the first, there is 446 acres with approximately 4.5 miles of trails, an 885 foot floating bridge, 17 space parking area and a restroom. The second entrance to Hofma Preserve has 117.75 additional acres with 1.62 miles of trails and a 42 space parking area.

Odawa/Battle Point Boat Launch
About the Park

The boat launch facility provides 4 areas for launching, a restroom and parking area. A boat launch permit is required for the launching of any watercraft, including kayaks and canoes.
Boat Launch Passes & Permits
Daily passes are available for $6.00 at the launch site. If you purchase a daily pass, no credit will be given should you choose later to purchase an annual pass.
Annual permits are also available and must be obtained in person at the Township offices.
$30.00 – for a Grand Haven Charter Township resident $20.00 – for Grand Haven Charter Township resident 65 or older $40.00 – for all non-residents of Grand Haven Charter Township
Make sure to completely fill out all of the information on the form, including the trailer plate number (permits will not be issued if the form is incomplete). Forms are also available at the Grand Haven Charter Township offices located at 13300 168th Ave., Grand Haven.
If you own more than one boat/water craft, you can register them all on one form and pay only one fee. Proof of registration showing the same owner for all vessels is required in order to qualify for one fee.
The launching of boats greater than 28-feet in length or any commercial marine equipment is prohibited.
